Dear winter

I realize it is nuts that we haven’t had a dump of snow before now, but did you seriously have to come today? Even though I left bright and early to get to my first class of the semester, an hour and a half drive turned into three and a half hours. All in snow. All in first or second gear. Bumper to bumper. There go the positive results of that massage from Wednesday! So in two weeks time...

Laying in bed, eating a turkey sub after the best massage ever in the middle of the afternoon. This is pretty much amazing.

I had a freaking nap!

I had an afternoon nap yesterday. I know, shocking. It was the most splendid thing ever. This time away at Blue Mountain is turning out to be very refreshing. Hopefully there will be a spa experience later today- a cherry on top of the ice cream sundae that this week is. Huzzah!

Thank you to those who have responded with kind and hopeful words. I really appreciate you and your prayers. I got an update this morning and things are looking really good. There will still be a long journey in her healing process, but many positive things have happened already.

Praying

Got a phone call this afternoon that my cousin and her bf were hit by a car when walking home from church today. My aunt and uncle have rushed to Ottawa to be there with them. She is currently under going multiple surgeries and is in a coma. I don’t know many details, but have been told the next 48 hrs are crucial.

I was having such a hard time deciding what to dress up as for Halloween (it’s mandatory at work). Anywho I finally decided I’m going to be a beauty pagent contestant from 1988. I found an awesome purple lace dress with puffed sleeves and a bow on the back. Now just need to get a tiara, some fake flowers and make a sash and voila! I definitely plan on wearing crazy make up and teasing...
